AirAsia X Airlines Baggage Allowance 2023

In order to encourage travellers to book connecting overseas flights, AirAsia India said on Thursday that it will be giving a 50% reduction on excess baggage costs until June. According to a statement from AirAsia India, passengers who are connecting to an international flight from a domestic flight can now pre-book their excess baggage at a significantly reduced price of Rs 100 per kg as opposed to the standard excess baggage fees of Rs 450 per kg when booked online and Rs 500 per kg when booked at the airport.

It said that the decreased excess baggage costs may be reserved up to two hours before the departure of a domestic aircraft. Tata Sons Private Ltd. owns 83.67 percent of AirAsia India, while AirAsia Investment Ltd. (AAIL), a subsidiary of Malaysia’s AirAsia Group, holds the remaining shares. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) received a bid from Tata-owned Air India last month to buy AirAsia India.

Air Asia’s cabin baggage policy allows passengers to carry one piece of cabin baggage and one minor or laptop bag on board. Here are the size and weight limits for cabin baggage:

1. Maximum dimensions: 56cm x 36cm x 23cm
2. Maximum weight: 7 kg

If your cabin baggage exceeds the size or weight limits, you must check it in and pay an excess baggage fee.

NOTE: Bulkhead seats lack under-seat storage, so all carry-on and cabin luggage must be stored in the overhead compartment during takeoff and landing.

he excess baggage booked will be in addition to the standard check-in baggage allowance of 15 kg on Economy Fares. Students traveling internationally can also pre-book excess baggage at these special rates in addition to their 25 kg baggage allowance.
