How to Update Address on PAN Card

Any information in the PAN card can be updated or changed through NSDL’s e-government website TIN is an initiative of the Income Tax Department to modernize the existing system of collecting, processing, monitoring and accounting of direct taxes through information technology. Through TIN, the address in the PAN card can be easily updated or changed.

Know the step by step process- The applicant is required to fill all the columns of the form and also tick the box next to the address in the form for change of address.

How to Update Address on PAN Card

This box is already ticked in case of online form. The applicant also has to clearly fill whether this address is of his home or office. All applicants except Individual and HUF can also write office address to contact.

If the applicant wants to update any other address, then he has to write this information in the form in an additional sheet and add it to the form. In such a situation, the applicant has to tick the box next to item number 8 in the application form. It is necessary for the applicant to provide proof of his address.

 If the address of any other place is to be updated, then the applicant has to provide proof for the same. The relevant documents along with the form can be submitted to any NLDL TIN Facilitation Center or PAN Center.
