For both checked and carry-on luggage, AirCalin provides customers with the following baggage allowances:* Economy Class: 1 carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 8kg and 2 pieces of checked luggage with a combined maximum weight of 30kg.Business Class allows three checked bags with a combined maximum weight of 45 kg, along with two carry-on bags with a combined maximum weight of 10 kg. Premium Economy allows two checked bags with a combined maximum weight of 40 kg, along with one carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 8 kg.

Your luggage allowance is the maximum weight and number of objects you may transport in the hold without paying additional fees. You save 25% off the airport charge when you upgrade your luggage allowance online.
You have two options for increasing your luggage allowance:
whenever you reserve a flight through our website;
- 30 hours prior to your travel, under the “My Booking” section, at any time after you have booked your trip.
- You save 25% by increasing your luggage allowance online as opposed to at the airport.
This service is only accessible on flights operated by AirCalin, with the exception of Wallis and Port-Vila, and it does not cover odd-sized luggage. Overweight luggage for these locations will be handled at the airport and charged at the following rates: Wallis – 1000 F CFP/ Kilo – 8 EUR, and Port Vila – 700 F CFP – 5 EUR.
Prior to your trip, get in touch with a goods forwarder to arrange for the transfer of your luggage by airfreight if it weighs more than 32 kg or has maximum dimensions (height + width + depth) of more than 300 cm. The conditions
- Prices are subject to change and are good for travel to and from Noumea on January 1, 2020.
- For Aircalin passengers flying on direct (no stopover) flights exclusively operated by Aircalin with an Aircalin flight number (tickets including Aircalin + partner airline flights excluded), pre-paid excess baggage is available up to 30 hours prior to departure.
- If the flight qualifies, there is no fee for transferring the service to a different date and along the same route. The service is not refundable if the replacement flight (an eligible airline) cannot accept the transfer.
- Other passengers cannot share personal additional luggage that has been pre-paid for.
- Your pre-paid additional luggage allowance is not refundable if Aircalin changes your itinerary and transports you on a different aircraft that is not Aircalin-operated.
- Your luggage has not been flown on the planned trip due to operational hiccups.
- The terms of reimbursement for checked baggage differ from those on the aircraft ticket.

Costs for overweight luggage
Any bag weighing more than 50 pounds is deemed overweight and oversized. In addition to any regular, excess, or large baggage costs, AirCalin charges additional surcharges for overweight luggage. AirCalin does not accept checked baggage that weighs more than 99 lbs.
Costs for oversized luggage
Most bags that total more than 62 inches in height, length, and weight are deemed enormous. In addition to any regular, excess, or overweight costs, AirCalin charges for excessive luggage.
